Overall ok type rooms. There is a restaurant on the top floor. The receptionist is so helpful. He will arrange 2 wheelers if needed. We can check in early by paying 600 rs extra.

I had a bad time staying there: Pros: 1. Location is a bit good, around 1 Km walking distance to Serenity beach ( that too is not that clean, I could see human potty at many places on the beach) 2. Foot was tasty 3. You can order food in room also. 4. Front desk folks were good in nature. Cons: 1. Bad smell in the room (humidity, fungus) 2. Ring Bell not working 3. Washroom exhaust fan not working 4. Fan regulator not working 5. Only 1 water bottle in the room doesn't matter how many beds you have booked for, I booked for 3 beds even after that they provided only 1 water bottle that too was not cold. I hope the owner should consider these points and improve the quality.

Decent stay for the price . The staffs are so friendly. The water's temperature was cold even in hot water tap,that was the only drawback. I would not recommend the restaurant because the food was not good . You can reach rock beach and other places in 10 to 15minutes.

Good family hotel. Affordable price but it is a bit far from pondi centre like 10km. This hotel is in kottakupam, chennai. The service is really great from the service desk people, house keeping staff & restaurant staff as well. Three things which we have observed - 1) The rooms were not properly cleaned when we checked in & the washroom was average but okay-okay for the price we have paid. 2) The AC doesn't run properly - sometimes it takes time to switch on , other times the hotel folks turn the AC switch off whenever we step out for the day & we used to tell them to switch on once we were back at the end of the day. 3) Geyser runs on solar so you need to dump 2 buckets of water to get some hot water , maybe hotel folks can look into this issue. Other than this we didn't have any issues, all our calls were answered on time & service was really good as well. Restaurant food is really good & staff is helpful. Some service tax might be added if you order food to your room so do check that. Thank you to Hotel Rani & Rani for making our stay as comfortable as possible. Will recommend this to others as well.

Hotel is located at a convenient and peaceful location with 1km from serenity beach, and 10kms approx from auroville. It's easy to catch a glimpse of sunrise early morning, which is highly recommended. Though located outside city, Public transportation available to the city and it takes 10 mins Max. (Don't use autos to get to hotel from main bus or railway station, they charge 400-500rs telling it's outside border, though it's just 6kms. Better to catch a bus going to Chennai or pims to reach here. Ask the bus people whether it goes to kottakuppam.) Coming to hotel, it's okay for few days stay. Rooms are clean, however ac was not cooling much. There is enough parking space. Free wifi is a scam and will not get connected. Rental vehicles service is not proper, which they never deliver in time. No kettle/complimentary tea/coffee provided. They charge extra for early check-in or late check-out. The restuarant food , particularly sea food,though bit expensive, is completely worth for the price paid. Do try that..

It’s was a smooth experience . Rooms are good .For Families and Couples this is best . Outside parking available . This is dead end road so no problem . They have in house restaurants it is home made food . But rate is slightly high . Overall it so good and smooth experience
